Welcome to SecondFace.ai (“SecondFace,” “we,” “our,” or “us“). These Terms of Use (“Terms“) form a legally binding agreement between you (“you” or “User“) and SecondFace governing your access to and use of our website, applications, application‑programming interfaces (APIs), documentation, and any related products or services we provide (collectively, the “Services“). By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Agreement“). If you do not agree to all of the Terms, do not access or use the Services.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

The Services
SecondFace.ai is dedicated to advancing research and development in artificial‑intelligence technologies. Our Services may include (a) access to research publications and technical documentation; (b) hosted AI models and APIs; (c) development tools, datasets, and code samples; and (d) community forums or other collaborative features. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue all or any part of the Services at any time without liability to you.
Account Registration & Security
Certain features require you to register for an account. You agree to (a) provide accurate, complete, and current information; (b) keep your credentials confidential; (c) promptly update your information; and (d) notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
Intellectual‑Property Rights
Our Content
All intellectual‑property rights in the Services and all materials therein—including but not limited to text, graphics, interfaces, design, code, datasets, AI models, and logos (the “SecondFace Content“)—are owned by or licensed to SecondFace and are protected by applicable intellectual‑property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Services solely for your internal, non‑commercial research and development purposes.
User Content
“User Content” means any data, code, text, image, or other content you upload, submit, or otherwise transmit to or through the Services. You retain all rights in your User Content except for the limited rights you grant us in this Section. You hereby grant SecondFace a worldwide, royalty‑free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, adapt, and display your User Content solely as necessary to provide the Services, improve them, and comply with legal obligations.
Feedback
If you choose to provide suggestions, ideas, or other feedback (“Feedback“), you acknowledge that SecondFace may use the Feedback without restriction or compensation to you and that you waive any claim based on moral rights or other legal theories that might limit such use.
Acceptable‑Use Policy
You agree not to:
Use the Services in any manner that violates any applicable law, regulation, or third‑party right;
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code or underlying algorithms of any AI model or software in the Services (except to the extent such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law, notwithstanding this limitation);
Use the Services to develop or deploy models, content, or activities that promote misinformation, discrimination, violence, or other harmful or illegal behavior;
Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any limitations or usage restrictions (e.g., rate limits, paywalls, or API quotas);
Introduce any virus, worm, backdoor, or other malicious code into the Services;
Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other users’ accounts, or the underlying infrastructure;Use automated means (including bots, crawlers, or scrapers) to access or copy any part of the Services, unless we have provided express written permission;Misrepresent your affiliation with SecondFace or imply any endorsement by SecondFace of your research, products, or services.
We may investigate violations of this Acceptable‑Use Policy and may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if we believe you have violated it.
Third‑Party Content & Links
The Services may contain links to or integrations with third‑party websites, software, data, or services (“Third‑Party Materials“). We do not endorse or assume any responsibility for Third‑Party Materials. Your use of Third‑Party Materials is at your own risk and governed by the terms of those third parties.
Privacy
Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the Services, you consent to the collection and processing of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SecondFace and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) €100 or (b) the amount you paid us, if any, for the Services in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SecondFace and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your access to or use of the Services, (b) your User Content, or (c) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. Upon termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms will cease immediately, but Sections 5 (Intellectual‑Property Rights) through 15 (Miscellaneous) will survive termination.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Services are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict‑of‑law principles. The competent courts of Milan, Italy, shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any such dispute, except where applicable law provides you with consumer protections that override this clause.
Export Compliance
The Services may be subject to export control and economic sanctions laws. You agree to comply with all such laws and regulations and not to export, re‑export, or transfer any part of the Services to any prohibited destination, entity, or person.
Miscellaneous
Entire Agreement.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and SecondFace regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements.
Severability.
If any provision is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Assignment.
You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
No Waiver.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
